McCorkle gives 1635 date, suggest that Lake Iricoisiensis is confusion between Lake Champlain and Lake Winnepessaukee. Based on language and signature on verso, Van der Krogt dates this edition to between 1640 and 1643. Cartouche: Indians and Belgian shield; numerous figures and animals. Indian village. McCorkle gives 1635 date, suggests that Lake Iricoisiensis is confusion between Lake Champlain and Lake Winnepessaukee. Map was first published in 1635, but the Dutch text on the verso, along with the signature, indicate a later date (Van der Krogt, map 9310:2; Burden, map 241). MS note on this map suggests 1630 date.
