Kashnor notes, "This is the French issue of Popple's map of America reduced from the original. It is a fine map, locating the Illinois country and the far west to New Mexico, where are located Taos and Santa Fe. The old forts and towns are picked out in red, the most westerly being Fort l'Hullier on St. Peters River." While the title of each sheet is in French, the text of the map is English. Upper left is an endorsement of the map by Edmond Halley. Upper right endorsement from Edmond Halley.. Prime meridian: Paris. Relief: pictorial. Projection: Mercator.
